Job summary

Avo Photonics, a leading contract engineering services company in photonics, seeks a diligent Program/Project Manager to guide customer-centric development from concept to production. You will own schedules, capture requirements, coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate progress to clients.

Ideal candidates hold an MSc or higher in engineering/chemistry/physics, have 5+ years in photonics program management or systems engineering, and possess strong English communication and meticulous

• M.Sc. or higher in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related technical field.
• 5 years of Program/Project Management or Systems Engineering experience in photonics.
• Deep understanding of optical component assembly/packaging processes.
• High attention to detail, integrated planner, motivated, willing to take initiative.
• Outstanding English verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the customer’s requirements are captured and the development effort is fully defined
• Continuously review the optical, mechanical, and system-level design progress and redirect as needed to efficiently derive a product design that meets or exceeds the customer requirements as well as the highest standards for innovation, quality, and manufacturability
• Prepare and present periodic status updates to customers
• Ensure deliverables are on track and update the customer on any schedule changes
• Ensure profitability of each assigned program throughout its life cycle from development through full-scale production
• Support Avo sales activity providing feedback for the preparation of cost models and quotes for existing and new customers, as required.
• Identify and develop, with Avo sales, new business opportunities with existing customers during regular customer meetings
• Support engagement with new and existing customers at trade shows and similar events, as required
• Oversee program documentation and review and approve quality documents associated with assigned programs to ensure they are thorough, accurate, and complete
