Job summary

Micron Technology, a world leader in memory and storage solutions, seeks a Photomask BEOL Sustaining Engineer in Boise, Idaho to sustain and optimize BEOL photomask processes. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to drive quality, yield, and efficiency, applying AI tools for analysis and improvement.

Responsibilities include leading projects, performing root-cause analyses, and collaborating across manufacturing, quality, and process engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or related technical field.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause investigations and interpret technical data.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience working in team-oriented environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion in a manufacturing or technical setting.
• Experience using AI tools or AI assistants to support technical analysis, documentation, research, or engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and optimize photomask BEOL manufacturing processes to improve quality, yield, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Investigate process excursions, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address manufacturing challenges.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, equipment, quality, and process engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and technology transfers.
• Lead and execute engineering projects, including process characterization, qualification activities, and documentation of results.
• Apply AI-Assisted and Generative AI tools to support data analysis, problem-solving, documentation, and process improvement activities while ensuring appropriate engineering review and validation.
