Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Photomask Sustaining Engineering Intern in Boise, Idaho to collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on real production challenges. You will analyze data, support SEM/EDX data collection, and help develop AI-based solutions to improve quality and cycle time.

You’ll learn photomask manufacturing fundamentals, SPC theory, and data analytics while contributing to projects with measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering-related field with expected graduation after Sep 2027.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated through coursework or projects.
• Experience with data in Excel, JMP, Python, R, MATLAB, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing and engineering data to identify trends, process shifts, and improvement opportunities.
• Support SEM/EDX data collection, analysis, and visualization efforts.
• Develop automation, analytics, and AI-based solutions that improve engineering efficiency and knowledge management.
• Assist with Statistical Process Control (SPC) system development, monitoring, and reporting.
• Partner with sustaining engineers to investigate manufacturing issues and support root cause analysis activities.
• Document technical findings and share recommendations with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to projects that improve quality, cycle time, and operational excellence across the manufacturing process.
