Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a Manufacturing Development Engineering (MDE) Shift Engineer for Photolithography to enable 24/7 process development on next-gen DRAM tech.

You’ll act as the primary on-site engineering authority during night shifts, guiding development experiments and learning cycles in a dynamic environment. You will apply advanced analytics, automation and AI-enabled solutions to accelerate learning, improve decisions and support Micron's digital

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemical/Electrical/Materials Science/Physics/Chemistry or related field; or Bachelor's with semiconductor experience.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Understanding of photolithography, semiconductor manufacturing, process control, and problem-solving techniques.
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, E3 FD systems, and data-driven decision making.
• Strong analytical, decision-making and technical problem-solving skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Off-hours technical authority for development, dispositioning wafers and tool releases.
• Collaborate with Photolithography PD, Process Integration, Equipment Development, Manufacturing, and Shift Ops to resolve issues and support experiments.
• Apply SPC, E3, FD systems and data analysis to investigate excursions and improve yield.
• Maintain documentation, reaction plans, process recipes, and change control with clear communication.
• Support continuous improvement through PMI data collection, audits and benchmarking.
• Apply Model-Based Problem-Solving, analytics and AI tools to improve engineering decisions and operations.
• Use automation, data science and AI to strengthen data analytics and learning cycles.
• Foster safety, technical excellence, collaboration and continuous learning while supporting business objectives.
