Job summary

Smart City Locating is seeking a Business Development Associate in Phoenix to build relationships with local multifamily property teams. You’ll meet apartment communities, introduce Smart City, and establish partnerships that help expand the company’s footprint in the city.

You’ll own outreach, manage relationships, and guide partnerships from initial contact through onboarding, while maintaining an organized pipeline and adapting your approach to each decision-maker.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in sales, business development, customer service, or similar customer-facing role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular property visits.
• Comfortable prospecting by phone, email, and in person.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
• CRM experience is a plus; multifamily/real estate experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own outreach to apartment communities and property management companies across the market.
• Build relationships through calls, emails, meetings, and in-person property visits.
• Find the right decision-makers and pitch the value of partnering with Smart City.
• Help move new partnerships from first conversation through contract and onboarding.
• Become a go-to Smart City presence in the local multifamily community.
• Keep your pipeline organized and look for creative ways to open new doors.
