Job summary

Smart City Locating is seeking a Business Development Associate in Phoenix to build relationships with local multifamily property teams. You’ll meet apartment communities, introduce Smart City, and establish partnerships that help expand the company’s footprint in the city.

You’ll own outreach, manage relationships, and guide partnerships from initial contact through onboarding, while maintaining an organized pipeline and adapting your approach to each decision-maker.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in sales, business development, customer service, or similar customer-facing role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular property visits.
• Comfortable prospecting by phone, email, and in person.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
• CRM experience is a plus; multifamily/real estate experience is a plus.

Smart City is growing in Phoenix, and we’re looking for a Business Development Associate to help build relationships with local multifamily property teams.

This role is all about making connections. You’ll be out in the market meeting with apartment communities, connecting with property managers and regional teams, introducing them to Smart City, and establishing partnerships that help expand our footprint in the city.

• You can juggle a lot of conversations and follow-ups without letting things fall through the cracks, and you know how to adjust your approach depending on who’s across the table.

Requirements

• $61,700 base salary with eligibility for quarterly incentives with a maximum of $81,700.
