Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine is seeking a Phlebotomist Trainer to lead training for new and current staff across multiple locations. The role requires hands-on phlebotomy duties and the ability to travel as needed to client sites and facilities.

You will develop and update training materials, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to policies, while collaborating with the Phlebotomy Training Management team to improve processes.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED and 5 years phlebotomy experience.
  • Language Ability: ability to read safety rules, operate manuals and procedures.
  • Math Ability: basic arithmetic for measurements and rates.
  • Reasoning Ability: apply instructions and solve problems.
  • Computer Skills: basic MS Office proficiency.
  • Certificates and Licenses: CPR Certification required, ASCP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fully executes all duties of the Phlebotomist and Senior Phlebotomist.
  • Provides training and coaching for new and existing staff and students.
  • Uses training checklists and updates materials as needed.
  • Ensures all checks are completed and competencies met.
  • Travels to multiple locations using personal vehicle as required.
  • Collaborates with training management to develop improved processes.
  • Supports School of Phlebotomy operations and acts as liaison between PSCs/DCCs and phlebotomy management.
