Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking staff for phlebotomy support in Chubbuck, Idaho. You will facilitate blood collection, ensure donor comfort, and uphold safety procedures while delivering lifesaving blood to hospitals.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided, with opportunities to grow within the nation’s top humanitarian organization. Role requires strong customer service, reliability, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights on ramps and stairs, and long hours.
• Minimum height of 60 inches may be required to safely operate vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Take time to connect with donors, listen to their stories and explain the impact of the donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detailed oriented to ensure blood meets goals, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup/teardown at donation sites.
• Assist with equipment setup and removal at mobile blood drives.
