Job summary

The American Red Cross in Boise, Idaho is seeking staff to support the blood collection process, using healthcare and customer service skills to prepare sites, welcome donors, and ensure safe collection. You will help transport and set up equipment and maintain a welcoming, efficient operation.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided with opportunities to grow within the nation’s leading humanitarian organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights, long hours and variable schedules.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office are required.

Responsibilities

• Take time to connect with donors and explain the impact of donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detail-oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals and regulatory requirements.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and help setup/tear down equipment at donation sites.
