Job summary

American Red Cross is hiring for roles supporting mobile blood drives and donor services. You will contribute to the blood collection process, ensuring a welcoming donor experience and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

The position includes paid phlebotomy training, opportunities to grow healthcare skills, and a competitive benefits package. Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience is preferred, and a valid driver’s license plus physical stamina are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication required.
• A valid driver’s license with good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting/pushing heavy weights; minimum height of 60 inches may be required to operate Red Cross vehicles.
• Must be able to work long hours and adapt to schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Connect with donors, listening to their stories and explaining donation impact.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Ensure collected blood meets goals and regulatory requirements for safe transfusion.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and set up/tear down equipment; position may require minimum height of 60 inches.
