Job summary

Banner Ironwood Medical Center in Queen Creek, Arizona, seeks a Test Management (Phlebotomy) Coordinator for the day shift to lead operational workflows and ensure quality control across phlebotomy procedures. This role partners with lab staff and clinical teams to maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, and JCAHO standards.

The candidate will supervise staff, develop training programs, monitor expenses, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of SQL/LSA clinical lab experience or 2 years of leadership/training experience or an Associate’s degree.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and procedures used in the section.
• Familiar with regulatory/accreditation requirements (CAP, CLIA, JCAHO).
• Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational oversight for the shift and workflow.
• Review QC procedures and ensure accreditation standards.
• Monitor section finances, supply usage, and expenses.
• Manage personnel: hiring, training, coaching, and retention.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals; participate in committees.
