Job summary

Granville Health System in Oxford, NC is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to perform specimen collection and processing with a patient‑centered approach. You will work closely with Laboratory Technicians to ensure proper samples and accurate results while delivering exceptional service.

The role offers a starting rate of $14 per hour with $1–$2 per hour shift differential, comprehensive benefits, and eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent.
• Customer service skills preferred.
• Clerical skills.
• Current NC driver's license.
• Experience in hospital environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and specimen collection, processing and handling for laboratory testing for in-patients, out-patients, and satellite facilities.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance while delivering excellent service.
• Adheres to CAP guidelines and laboratory policies; participates in quality assurance and continuous education.
• Stocks and monitors laboratory supplies and notifies supervisors when low.
• Assists in training students and new staff.
• Coordinates with laboratory personnel and other departments to ensure proper sample collection and timely results.
