Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy course.
• Valid driver’s license with no history of DWI conviction within the past 5 years or moving traffic violation for 3 years.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood samples (venous and arterial) including blood cultures.
• Perform EKGs, nasal washings, throat cultures, nasopharyngeal swabs, and point of care glucose testing.
• Assist in clerical duties including patient registration and POS cash collections.
• Process specimens and complete quality assurance documentation.
• Carry out courier duties for the department as needed.
• May be responsible for general daily upkeep of the department vehicle.
