Quest Diagnostics in Nags Head, NC is hiring a Phlebotomist II for a Mon-Thu 7:45 AM–4:30 PM schedule and Fri 7:45 AM–3:15 PM. Pay range starts at $21.50+ per hour. Eligible for annual bonus; comprehensive benefits for full-time staff. Requires 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections; HS diploma; travel may be needed.

Position emphasizes accuracy in specimen collection, lab system use, and data entry; strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones & email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and training records.
