Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Asheboro, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect and process blood specimens in the Laboratory Outreach Services. You will ensure accurate collection, proper labeling, and timely delivery of samples while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and preferably two years of phlebotomy experience. Shift is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with occasional weekend rotations; 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Adhere to department standards and promote teamwork.
• Ensure accurate and timely blood specimen collection.
• Identify and deliver patient samples to appropriate lab sections.
• Follow safety procedures for handling patients and specimens.
• Serve as a resource to staff and apply phlebotomy knowledge daily.
• Maintain inventory and supply levels for related tasks.
• Enter lab orders and handle reports in the LIS.
