Job summary

You will support lab operations, assist with billing and data entry, and train staff and students in phlebotomy. A high school diploma and 1 year phlebotomy experience are preferred; the role requires accuracy, communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification and ensure safety during specimen procurement.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens from newborn to adult patients.
• Label specimens accurately and resolve mislabeling or requisition issues.
• Respond to calls, assist with inventory and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Accept and process specimens from internal and external customers.
• Order and verify test requests; document information for QA.
• Review reports and generate/distribute management data.
• Support Billing and other business functions.
• Instruct employees and students in phlebotomy and data entry.
• Provide care appropriate to age group served.
