Job summary

The Clinical Services Technician at WakeMed in Garner, NC, collects pathology specimens at Ambulatory Care Centers, handling registration, processing and allocation of orders from all sources. Qualifications

• Registration, processing and allocation of laboratory specimens and orders from all sources.
• Verification of proper patient/specimen identification and appropriateness of specimen and accompanying orders.
• Ability to perform POCT and document routine maintenance and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collect pathology specimens at Ambulatory Care Centers and prepare for transport.
• Organize workflow, prioritize processing and ensure specimen integrity.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with patients and staff.
