Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking a Clinical Services Technician specializing in phlebotomy to collect pathology specimens at ambulatory centers. You will register, process and allocate orders, verify patient/specimen ID, and prioritize specimen handling for transport.

You will operate equipment, perform POCT, document QC, and maintain a clean, compliant work area. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, at least 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience, and licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Registration, processing and allocation of laboratory specimens and orders.
• Verify patient/specimen identification and order appropriateness.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and manage supply PAR levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform POCT and document routine maintenance and QC.
• Prioritize and organize workflow to meet courier deadlines.
• Contribute to patient-centered service and effective communication.
