Genesis HealthCare System is seeking a Phlebotomist Technician to join our hospital team. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen handling, test ordering, and lite clerical duties within a dynamic laboratory setting.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy training, and CPR certification. You must demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and strong communication while delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy training preferred or current student with proof.
• CPR certification required or obtained within one year of employment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology for lab procedures.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and confidentiality per HIPAA.

Responsabilités

• Perform phlebotomy using approved techniques and follow policies.
• Maintain knowledge of laboratory tests and specimen ordering codes.
• Process and transport specimens ensuring integrity per test requirements.
• Maintain telecommunication operations and paging systems.
• Manage specimen records, chain of custody, and release forms.
• Comply with CAP, HFAP, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations at all times.
• Provide outstanding service to internal and external customers.
• Uphold professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
• Assist with clerical duties as assigned.
