Job summary

Covenant HealthCare is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and specimen collection with a focus on accuracy and compassionate patient service. The role requires attention to proper labeling, prompt processing, and clear communication with clinicians and nursing staff.

Ideal candidates will have NACCLS-approved training, ASCP or NHA certification and 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, demonstrating dependable teamwork in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Completion of a NACCLS approved phlebotomy program is preferred.
• ASCP Phlebotomy certification within 6 months of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens by venipuncture and dermal puncture per orders.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate with staff.
• Maintain proper labeling and specimen handling.
• Assist in training of new staff under supervision.
• Document calibrations and maintenance; report issues promptly.
• Follow safety protocols and universal precautions.
