Job summary

Responsibilities

• Obtains blood specimens from patients of all ages by venipuncture, finger stick, and/ or heel stick.
• Follows patient safety goals to correctly identify patients before drawing samples.
• Maintains inventory control for specimen collection and processing.
• Performs clerical duties including data entry and chart retrieval in hospital systems.
• Delivers reports upon completion of work and keeps phlebotomy areas neat and stocked.
