Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Extracts blood from patients following aseptic venipuncture technique.
• Document phlebotomy rounds in patient records.
• Document outpatient callbacks and link to physicians' orders.
• Enter complete patient demographic information and verify specimens.
• Prepare, label, and process specimens for testing.
• Perform quality EKGs and collect demographic data.
• Screen and interview donors per protocol; maintain donor room QC.
• Maintain supplies; transport specimens according to policy.
• Comply with patient identification procedures and safety standards.
