Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv.
• Phlebotomy training program required for certain positions.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal, written, and clerical skills.
• Read, write and speak conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Transports hazardous waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area.
• Performs venipuncture and microtainer collection accurately and efficiently.
• Ensures specimens are correctly labeled and orders are received properly.
• Prioritizes routine specimen receipt with first in, first out; handles stat and alert specimens accordingly.
• Follows safety policies, including PPE use, handwashing and hazardous chemical handling.
• Other duties as assigned.
