Job summary

Emanate Health is seeking a phlebotomist to perform venipunctures on adults and children, handle specimen collection, and assist with data entry and client communication. This role supports the Laboratory Services team to ensure accurate processing and timely results.

Minimum requirements include a California CPT certificate, BLS, and strong English communication. Prior acute care lab experience and proficiency with computer data entry are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and medical/laboratory terminology.
• Two year acute care hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• 1–2 years experience assisting in performing laboratory assays preferred.
• Ability to operate computer input terminal.
• Communication skills to include fluent English.
• Typing and word processing skills required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Current California CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) certificate. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures on adults and pediatrics and micro collections on infants.
• Performs data entry, specimen processing and communicates with clients to resolve specimen concerns as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
