Job summary

Emanate Health in California is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the Laboratory Services team. Under supervision, you will perform venipunctures on adults and pediatric micro collections, handle data entry, and communicate with clients to resolve specimen concerns.

Requirements include a High school diploma or equivalency, proficiency in phlebotomy, California CPT certificate, and BLS. Prior hospital lab experience is preferred. Excellent customer service and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and medical terminology.
• Two year acute care hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• 1–2 years experience assisting in laboratory assays preferred.
• Ability to operate computer input terminal.
• Phlebotomy techniques including blood cultures, finger and heel sticks.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Typing and word processing skills required.
• Good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures on adults and pediatrics.
• Perform micro collections on infants.
• Participate in data entry and specimen processing.
