Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Two year acute care hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy techniques and medical terminology proficiency required.
• Ability to operate computer input terminal; typing skills required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures on adults and pediatrics and manage specimen processing.
• Participate in data entry and communicate with clients to resolve specimen concerns.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisors.
• Perform blood cultures, finger sticks, and heel sticks as needed.
