Geisinger is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join Geisinger Medical Laboratories in Bloomsburg. You will collect blood samples, prepare specimens, and support a high-quality laboratory workflow in a patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, labeling, QA/ QC, and cross-site coverage. Candidates with ASCP certification or NAACLS phlebotomy training are preferred, with opportunities for professional growth and training within Geisinger.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification as Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP) preferred.
• Completion of NAACLS-approved phlebotomy program or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Performs venipunctures and skin punctures for blood specimen collection.
• Safely handles potentially infectious materials in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Prepares and processes specimens including centrifugation and labeling.
• Delivers specimens promptly to appropriate testing areas.
• Maintains logs, quality control, and instrument maintenance.
• Mentors students and new employees.
• Provides phlebotomy coverage for multiple Geisinger sites as needed.
