Job summary

Geisinger Medical Laboratories is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team in a clinical setting. You will perform venipunctures and skin punctures, obtain blood specimens, and ensure high-quality sample processing for accurate testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASCP Certified Phlebotomy Technician is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and skin punctures according to CLSI guidelines.
• Obtain blood specimens and process for analysis to ensure sample integrity.
• Register patients in computer systems and facilitate billing.
• Ensure positive identification of specimens and proper accessioning.
• Maintain instrument quality control and troubleshoot as needed.
• Provide phlebotomy coverage for multiple Geisinger sites.
