Job summary

Geisinger Medical Laboratories is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join our clinical team in Lock Haven. You will perform venipunctures and skin punctures, label and process specimens, and support the patient experience in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment.

Collaborate with clinicians, maintain strict safety and quality standards, and participate in ongoing competency training. Prior ASCP certification and experience are valued, with opportunities for professional growth within

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience required.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and skin punctures to obtain blood specimens following CLSI guidelines.
• Label, accession, and process specimens with attention to accuracy and safety.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Escalate issues as appropriate to team leads in a timely manner.
• Maintain competency through annual training and assessments.
• Assist with inventory management and use Geisinger systems effectively.
