Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Full-Time Phlebotomist for the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Outreach Services lab in Asheboro, NC. 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, with lunch break; rotation weekends twice yearly.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and CPR, and certification (ASCP/AMT/ASPT or equivalent). You will collect blood specimens accurately, manage specimen transport and LIS entries, and support safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR Certification required.
• Two-year phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assures accurate and timely collection of blood specimens.
• Identifies and delivers patient samples to appropriate lab sections.
• Follows safety and identification procedures when dealing with patients and/or specimens.
• Performs clerical tasks including entering lab orders into LIS and reporting.
• May perform waived testing and other duties as assigned.
