Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Phlebotomy Services professional for the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Lab in Winston-Salem. The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, operating on a third shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday.

Requires high school diploma, CPR, and preferred phlebotomy experience with ASCP/AMT/ASPT certification. Responsibilities include accurate blood collection, specimen handling, lab order entry, and maintaining safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Two years phlebotomy experience preferred.
• CPR Certification.
• ASCP, AMT, ASPT or equivalent certification from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department standards and promotes a cooperative work environment.
• Ensures accurate and timely blood specimen collections.
• Properly identifies and delivers patient samples to the lab sections.
• Maintains safety and infection control procedures for staff and patients.
• Performs clerical tasks such as entering lab orders and reporting results.
• May perform waived testing and other duties as assigned.
