Advocate Health's Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center – Lab: Outreach Services in Asheboro, NC is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist. Work Mon-Fri 8am–5pm, with weekend rotation twice yearly. Requires HS diploma or GED and CPR; 2 years phlebotomy experience preferred. ASCP/AMT/ASPT certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assures accurate and timely collection of blood specimens according to departmental practices.
• Ensures accurate identification and delivery of patient samples to lab sections.
• Follows proper safety and identification procedures with patients and specimens.
• Serves as a resource to staff and applies phlebotomy knowledge daily.
• Maintains inventory and monitors expiration dates.
• Performs clerical tasks including LIS entry, reports printing and filing.
• May perform waived testing and other duties as assigned.
