Sarasota Memorial Health Care System in Sarasota, FL, is seeking a Phlebotomist in the Phlebotomy department. Under supervision, you will perform routine blood collection across all age groups, including neonates and infants, and participate in specimen processing and receiving.
The role requires completion of a vocational phlebotomy program or at least 3 months' experience, and HS diploma or GED. Valid driver's license and rotating holidays/weekends may apply, with hours 0400-1330.
Phlebotomy
Under the supervision of Manager, Preanalytical Laboratory Services and Phlebotomy Supervisors, performs all duties of Phlebotomist responsibilities including routine blood collection on all age groups to include neonates and infants. In addition, demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to function in Specimen Processing and Receiving area of the Laboratory. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients' in assigned area.
HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
FDL: Valid Driver's License
Rotating Holidays and Weekends mandatory
Hours between 0400-1330
