Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy or specimen processing experience preferred.
• Strong English communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures per policies and procedures, including timed specimens, blood cultures, pediatric and neonatal samples.
• Identifies patients and labels specimens according to policy.
• Prepares specimens for analysis and testing, including study and 24 hour specimens.
• Centrifuges and aliquots specimens; follows handling instructions.
• Optimizes routing of specimens and work benches; supports stat and routine workloads.
