Qualifications

• Must have phlebotomy knowledge and practice.

Responsibilities

• Collect biological specimens using proper techniques for all age groups.
• Accurately enter and verify patient demographics and test information in the computer system.
• Label, aliquot, and deliver specimens to the technical area or prepare for transport.
• Maintain quality standards, complete documentation accurately, and participate in quality assurance.
• Assist in monitoring workflow, training new staff, and managing departmental resources to reduce waste and costs.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers, ensuring excellent customer service and teamwork.
• Adhere to patient privacy and HIPAA regulations.
