Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona in Tucson is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team supporting Hospital Facilities, PSCs, IOPs and mobile services. You will collect specimens, enter data, and prepare samples for testing, ensuring accuracy and patient safety across age groups.

The role requires phlebotomy certification or training, a HS diploma, and flexibility to travel between locations, weekends, and possible on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and high school diploma or equivalent may be required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations.
• Valid state driver's license where required and ability to be covered under company auto policy.
• Flexibility to travel to multiple locations with weekends/holidays/overtime and potential on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens with correct patient and specimen identification for all ages.
• Enter and verify patient demographics, tests, and requisition data in the system; ensure accuracy for processing and billing.
• Maintain quality and accuracy; follow policies, procedures, and HIPAA/privacy rules; participate in quality initiatives.
• Assist in department cost control and resource usage; support billing knowledge.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers; cover multiple locations and shifts as needed.
