Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• One year phlebotomy experience or completed accredited program.
• ASCP phlebotomy certification desired.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous, professional manner.
• Monitor and maintain phlebotomy supplies and patient prep materials.
• Train new associates and students from affiliated programs.
• Perform venipuncture and dermal puncture accurately.
• Label and accession specimens with proper policies.
• Enter test orders and patient data into the LIS accurately.
• Provide reports to physicians and nursing units as requested.
• Adhere to policies to ensure quality patient care and confidentiality.
