Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year phlebotomy experience or completion of an accredited training program.
• CPR certification required; basic computer skills and Microsoft Office preferred.
• ASCP phlebotomy certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Enters and verifies test requests accurately and efficiently.
• Obtains and verifies patient information accurately.
• Performs specimen processing, slide preparation and labeling per procedures.
• Assists with inventory management and returns to reference labs as needed.
• Provides telephone support and communicates test results as required.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and ensures proper biosafety practices.
• Supports front desk duties and transcription of orders into the LIMS system.
