Holy Cross Health is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician for a full-time day shift in Silver Spring, MD. You will perform phlebotomy specimen collection, ensure proper patient identification, and support specimen processing and accessioning in the laboratory.

Qualifications

• High School graduate, GED or higher required.
• Six (6) months previous professional phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• One-year recent phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Must perform venipuncture independently.
• Must communicate effectively with patients, physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy specimen collection per SOPs.
• Verify patient identification and properly label specimens.
• Assist in specimen processing, distribution and accessioning.
