Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform routine and special phlebotomy procedures across multiple patient service centers and hospitals in the Cook and Lake County area, including Swedish Hospital in Chicago.

The role requires collecting specimens accurately, documenting test orders in hospital systems, and ensuring appropriate blood collection tubes and volumes. Travel between sites is required, with opportunities for shift-based pay adjustments and career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience.
• CPR-BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider required.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by the Supervisor/Manager/Director.
• Order tests into the Laboratory and Hospital computer systems and document Lab receipt of specimens.
• Collect patient specimens in accordance with test requirements and age/population served.
• Collect blood samples for specific tests ensuring proper volume and correct tubes.
