Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Phlebotomist I - Per Diem to support patient service centers across Cook County, IL. This role offers per diem hours, with Monday-Friday days and variable shifts, and requires travel between sites.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, documenting lab receipts, and ensuring proper specimen handling. Education should be high school diploma or GED, CPR-BLS preferred, with strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience.
Certification: CPR-BLS for Healthcare Provider required by AHA; PBT (ASCP) certification preferred.
Experience: Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by Supervisor/Manager/Director.
Order tests into Laboratory/Hospital systems and document receipt of specimens.
Collect patient specimens per test requirements and appropriate for age/population.
