Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Phlebotomist for the ACL Laboratories – St Lukes: Franklin location. You will perform venipuncture, collect and process specimens, and ensure accurate labeling and timely testing across pediatric to adult patients.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• No experience required.
• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in phlebotomy or related laboratory function.
• Basic computer skills including experience using computer software applications.
• Keyboarding and typing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated customer service skills to interface effectively with physicians, patients, visitors, and other healthcare employees.

Responsibilities

• Verifies positive patient identification to ensure patient safety.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients according to protocol.
• Ensures proper labeling and testing readiness of specimens.
• Performs limited testing under CLIA guidelines.
• Answers and screens telephone calls; assists with inventory and billing support.
• Receives, sorts, and tracks specimens for transport and testing.
