Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient identification to ensure safety.
• Performs venipuncture and specimen collection per protocol.
• Labeling, proper handling, and timely processing of specimens.
• Enter and verify test requests in the computer system.
• Support inventory and prepare supplies for testing.
• Train staff and students in phlebotomy and processing tasks.
• Document information for quality assurance as required.
• Adapt to age-specific patient needs and department policy.
