Aurora Health Care is seeking a patient-focused phlebotomist to support specimen collection across all ages in a fast-paced healthcare setting. You will perform venipuncture, prepare samples for testing, and participate in basic CLIA-compliant testing while ensuring accuracy and safety.

Strong communication and computer skills are essential as you coordinate with care teams, manage inventory, and assist with billing and administrative tasks. Training provided; on-site work in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in phlebotomy or related laboratory function.
• Basic computer skills including experience using computer software applications.
• Keyboarding and typing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good listening skills.

Responsabilités

• Verifies positive patient identification to ensure patient safety and assesses reactions to specimen procurement.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients according to protocol.
• Obtains specimens according to priority and scheduled draw times; ensures proper labeling and specimen testing readiness.
• Performs limited testing under CLIA 1988 guidelines according to policies and procedures.
• Answers and screens telephone calls; assists with inventory and supports Billing and other functions.
• Receives, sorts, packages and tracks specimens for transport; processes for testing with proper identification.
