Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to support hospital laboratory operations in Wisconsin. You will perform venipuncture, collect specimens, label samples, and help ensure rapid and accurate test results.

Responsibilities include adhering to CLIA guidelines, handling inquiries, assisting with inventory, and training staff and students in phlebotomy and specimen processing. This is a full-time, on-site role in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in phlebotomy or related laboratory function.
• Basic computer skills including experience using computer software applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification and ensure patient safety during specimen collection.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens from newborn to adult patients.
• Label specimens correctly and resolve identification or requisition issues.
• Perform limited testing under CLIA guidelines per policy.
• Manage phone inquiries, assist with inventory and billing support.
• Instruct staff and students in phlebotomy and specimen processing.
