Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist/Lab Technician to perform venipuncture and collect specimens from newborns to adults, following standardized protocols. You will receive and sort specimens, process tests under CLIA guidelines, and support pathology and transfusion services as needed, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Minimum education is a high school graduate with typically 3 years of phlebotomy or related lab experience; strong computer and communication

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients per protocol.
• Receives, sorts, and tracks lab specimens; processes specimens for testing.
• Performs limited testing under CLIA guidelines and enters results into the system.
• Assists in histology/cytology where needed and supports CAP checklists.
• Supports transfusion department tasks as required.
• Performs clerical duties including registration, data entry, and reports distribution.
