Advocate Aurora Health in Mount Pleasant, AL is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to collect specimens, verify patient identities, label samples correctly and support routine laboratory operations.

Duties include venipuncture across newborn to adult patients, specimen transport, basic data entry, and effective communication with staff. High School Diploma required; no prior experience needed. Schedule Monday–Friday with weekend/holiday rotation; pay range $19.80–$29.70 per hour.

Formación

• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in phlebotomy or related laboratory function.
• Basic computer skills including experience using computer software applications.
• Keyboarding and typing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good listening skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated customer service skills to interface effectively with physicians, patients, visitors, and other healthcare employees.

Responsabilidades

• Verifies positive patient identification to ensure patient safety.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from patients of all ages.
• Labels specimens correctly and processes them for testing.
• Performs limited testing under CLIA guidelines as directed by policy.
• Answers calls, assists with inventory, and supports billing and other functions.
• Orders and verifies test requests, enters data, and reports results.
