Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL seeks a skilled Phlebotomy Technician for full-time shifts (4:30a-1p) with rotating weekends. You will perform venipuncture, data entry, and specimen handling across multiple lab sections, ensuring accurate results and patient-friendly service.

The role requires phlebotomy certification, HS diploma, and BLS within 45 days, with a preference for 1 year of clinical lab experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy training program.
• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician required.
• BLS certified within 45 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year clinical lab experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform skin puncture or venipuncture on patients of all ages for blood specimens.
• Enter data, file, answer calls, and other clerical duties.
• Demonstrate proper phlebotomy technique and handle specimens for multiple departments.
• Process specimens for reference laboratories and load them on instruments.
• Stock supplies, maintain cleanliness of storage areas, and manage routine duties.
• May assist with sample pickups, multi-department work, or night shift; may be lead phlebotomist.
• Adhere to safety, privacy, and hospital policies.
