Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required.
• Background in a medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• May be required to travel/drive to other locations.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens and perform laboratory office duties.
• Register patients, accurately enter data, accession specimens, answer calls, and process paperwork.
• Prepare specimens for testing and/or for sending to central or reference laboratories; may perform limited POC tests as authorized.
