Job summary

Alverno PSC West Lafayette is seeking a Phlebotomist to join Outreach Phlebotomy Services. The role involves collecting blood specimens, handling lab office duties, and processing paperwork at the West Lafayette location in Indiana.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED and phlebotomy experience or training. A valid driver's license and potential travel to other sites are required, with day shifts and some weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required.
• Background in a medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens and perform laboratory office duties.
• Register patients and accurately enter data into the computer system; process paperwork.
• Prepare specimens for testing and for transfer to the central or reference laboratories.
• May perform limited waived POC tests as authorized by the Laboratory Director.
• In some facilities, act as a driver and participate in on-call rotation.
